(29 February 2016) “Ma l’amore no, l’amore esiste, lo so. L’amore non nomina invano il suo nome” wrote Bianca d’Aponte, a promising singer ho prematurely departed this world in 2003, at 23, while she was working on her first album. But Bianca and her love for music continue to live in the Prize “Bianca d’Aponte”, the most important song writing festival dedicated to women in Italy. A love that has crossed national borders, paying tribute to the young singer-songwriter from Aversa for the second time in Barcelona with the Bianca d’Aponte International scheduled for March 6 at the Centre Artesà Tradicionarius. The evening is organized by the Bianca d’Aponte Association with the Barcelona association “Cose di Amilcare”, a Spanish spin-off of the Tenco Club (led by Sergio Secondiano Sacchi, assisted by Steven Forti) in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona, BarnaSants, and Zibaldone @Contrabanda FM. As for the previous edition, some songs by Bianca will be translated and performed in various languages. Music and literature by women will also merge in the songs based on the verses of poets, or dedicated to them. The event in Barcelona is the first in a series of annual moments dedicated to the young singer, a series that will continue on 28-29 October in Aversa, on the occasion of the XII edition of the Bianca d’Aponte Award (as always with the art direction of Fausto Mesolella), to end in December in Sanremo. This year, many musicians and celebrities will take part in the Bianca d’Aponte International: Alessio Arena, Idil Ayral, Indiana Carsin, Vera Gottschall, Enric Hernàez, Katres, Tamar McLeod Sinclair, Fausto Mesolella, Steven Munar, Olden, Yannis Papaioannou, Miquel Pujadó, Ulrich Sandner, Stelios Togias, Zacharis Vamvakousis, Christiana Vlanti, and Peppe Voltarelli. Steven Forti will present, while graphics will be curated by an artist known around the world as Marco Nereo Rotelli. (Red)
