Mar. 21 – Vinitaly International heads to China after its successful session in New York last February 3. The fair is now ready to move to Chengdu, in the Sichuan region, to participate in the FuoriSalone of the 90th edition of China Food & Drinks Fair, which will be held March 25-28. The Fair truly captures the heart of the Chinese market for wine & spirtits and represents a new and important step in VeronaFiere’s activities in support of Italian wine production. In particular, Vinitaly International has invested to properly design and built effective services that could capture the enormous growth potential for Italian wine exports to China: via targeted campaigns, tools designed to promote awareness of the immense variety of Italian production, and promoting meeting between producers and distributors. “The Chinese market plays a key role for Italian exports and it has been so far very rewarding: sales have increased by 11% for bottled wines and even by 86% if we include sparkling wines – said Ettore Riello, President of VeronaFiere – The potential for growth is still high and the initiatives that Vinitaly International offers at the Chengdu Fuorisalone are designed to improve performance.”
