(29 February 2016) Experience Etruria is not just a project, but a multisensory experience. The initiative created for Expo Milano 2015 by 17 municipalities in Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria, features a program of itineraries, exhibitions, 3D animated films and interactive maps that even the Italian Ambassador in Brussels, Vincenzo Grassi, couldn’t resist. The Ambassador expressed his interest and appreciation for the initiative that crossed national borders and was presented, on February 25, in Brussels at the seat of the European Parliament. The goal was to promote internationally the territory of Tuscia and southern Etruria in an opportunity to examine the scope for supporting the project with European Structural Funds under the Creative Europe Programme, which aims to “strengthen the competitiveness of the cultural and creative sector to promote smart growth, as well as sustainable and inclusive growth” in an area with enormous potential. The event was attended, in addition to several MEPs, including the representations to the European Union of the regions involved, by representatives of the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce interested in promoting the gastronomic excellences of Tuscia, representatives of the Belgian Ministry of Culture, and many intellectuals and archeologists from various European countries.
