Brussels – The Regional Government, on the proposal of Paolo Panontin, passed a resolution authorizing the Civil Protection of the Region to participate in the EU call for proposal: “ECHO European Commission – Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection – Prevention and preparedness projects in civil protection and marine pollution,” as a partner-beneficiary in the “Alpdiris project – Alpine Disaster Relief for Italy and Slovenia.” A protocol agreement between the Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Republic of Slovenia is already operational, providing for cooperation through various educational activities as well as training of staff and volunteers on procedures of mutual cooperation in case of emergencies.
