(28 March 2016) “Memories” (Sony Classical) has reached Japan. The new album by the talented composer and pianist Alberto Pizzo, co-produced with the artistic direction of Maestro Luis Bacalov, was released on the Italian market on March 18 and now moves to conquer the land of the rising sun. “Music means sharing and seeing ‘Memoires’ released in Japan gives me great pride. It’s yet another musical embrace that, through notes, I share with this wonderful country, to which I am very attached – explains Pizzo – The influence of Japanese culture is evident in my project and, in general, in my music. Over the years, I have been increasingly inspired by Japanese landscapes that I got to explore during my travels.” “Memories” saw Alberto Pizzo collaborate with Maestro Luis Bacalov to arrange the music, but the Maestro also participated in the project as director of one of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, the London Symphony Orchestra. The latter in most songs accompanies the Neapolitan composer on piano. “After the Rain”, the first single from the album, is currently on radio in Italy. (Red)
