(May 11, 2016) Africa is the priority of the Italian foreign policy and the focus of cooperation programmes, a strategic country and a great source of opportunities. To confirm the importance that Italy reserves for the African continent, fund of €18.7million arrives from the Ministry for the Environment. Minister Gian Luca Galletti announces the funding to “The Paris agreement: business cooperation and opportunities for Italy and Africa” seminar. Why Africa? “The continent is a priority for us, and is our strategic depth. The Deputy Foreign Minister assures that Italian cooperation “is next to the Ministry of Environment in the new strategy for sustainable development in Africa”. Moreover, the green economy is “a priority of our embassies and our entire consular network” highlights Giro, “and is becoming a priority for the Italian Cooperation with the three-year lines in Africa that will be approved by the Council of Ministers and above all, with the collaboration of the private sector”.
