(July 6, 2016) Piedmont takes the lead at the Farnborough International Air Show, one of the most important shows in the aerospace industry held in London from July 11 to 17. More than 30 businesses are participating in the event in the context of the Integrated Torino Piemonte Aerospace Project managed by Centro Estero (Piemonte Agency for Investments, Export and Tourism) charged by the Piedmont region and co-financed with the Development and Cohesion Fund. Torino Piemonte Aerospace has been the leading actor for the past seven editions of the Air Show (the latter included): to date it has seen over 60 exhibitors from Piedmont totalling 700 contacts and about €8,000,000 worth of purchase orders. The Farnborough Air Show is an unmissable event that offers five days of symposia, conferences, themed areas dedicated to the aviation industry, production techniques and procedures, defense, wing rotators, space, and unmanned systems (UAS). The Piedmont delegation represented at the show proposes integrated solutions for propulsion systems for aeroplanes and helicopters, high precision mechanical manufacturing, metal composite parts and restraint systems for space modules. Topological optimisation, engineering, additive manufacturing, flexible tubing and trim tabs and much more.
