Bratislava. Development of regions, cities and rural areas, but also a reflection on post-Brexit is the agenda of the Committee of the Regions (CDR) at the plenary session held recently in Bratislava, organised by the Slovak Presidency of the EU Council and to which the President of the regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia Franco Iacop, a full member took part in. To give new impetus to growth and employment, regions and cities of the EU, along with the CDR – the political assembly of local and regional authorities in the EU – strive to restore the links between EU regional and local opportunities and to leverage on these to overcome these barriers and to identify sustainable solutions.
