(July 29 2016) With the aim of creating contacts and promote Italian investments in the United States and US investment in Italy, the Innovation Forum of Trieste will become an annual event and will be equipped with a website for the preparation of joint projects. This emerged from the meeting that the bilateral institutional President of Friuli Venezia Giulia Debora Serracchiani, along with Vice President Sergio Bolzonello, has had with the US ambassador to Italy John R. Phillips, accompanied by the General Consul of the United States in Milan Philip T. Reeker. “The proposal to make a systematic and annual appointment with the Innovation Forum – said Serracchiani – happily welcomed by the Ambassador, who appreciated the meetings held during these two days in Trieste, an opportunity to create the ideal link between some major American universities like Stanford, Georgetown, Michigan and MIT in Boston and our regional university system, as well as to attract US firms in Friuli Venezia Giulia”.
