Tokyo – Something doesn’t add up in the conception we have of our galaxy. From the results of a research conducted by an international team of Japanese, South African and Italian astronomers, among whom Giuseppe Bono, Inaf associate from University of Rome Tor Vergata, shows that around the center of the Milky Way there is a vast and surprisingly empty region of young stars. The study was published on the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society journal. (9Colonne)
