(August 3, 2016) In recent days a delegation of the NCC (National Confederation of Crafts) of the Province of Ragusa landed in Malta where Anglu Farrugia, President of the Parliament and Chris Cardona, Economy Minister, received it. The Italian delegation, composed of Ragusa NCC President Giuseppe Santocono, the Vice-President Maurizio Scalone and the director Giovanni Brancati, was accompanied by the chargé d’affaires Enrico Berti and Dr. Stefano Salmaso of the Italian Embassy in Valletta. During the meeting (Photo: DOI – Kevin Abela) President Farrugia highlighted the political and economic ties between Malta and Sicily, remembering how recently the Maltese Parliament has approved new legislation to help small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular those of family type, with subsidized loans. For its part, Minister Cardona stressed the Government of Malta commitment to develop synergies with business and universities to encourage foreign investment. (Red)
