Brussels – The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded Manuela Cavallaro, a researcher of the National Laboratories of the South (LNS) of the INFN, one of its prestigious European grants, the ERC Starting Grant 2016, for a physical search of the neutrino . It is developing the project called NURE (Nuclear Reactions for neutrinoless double beta decay). “The project will be developed in five years – said Manuela Cavallaro – in which experiments will be carried out on some of the systems of interest for the double beta decay.” The winning project was approved for the full funding requested, amounting to 1.271 million of Euro.
