London. The London Biennial exhibition opened at Somerset House, one of the historic buildings of the British capital, and home to some of the world’s major cultural events. At the exhibition, Italy is present with a pavilion housing the installation, White Flag. The pavilion’s artistic direction has been entrusted to Giorgio Camuffo. Communication designer, art director and curator, Camuffo taught at the University of Bolzano in 2011, following his position at IUAV in Venice. The Italian pavilion gathers the works of twenty artists and Italian designers: one for each day. The 2016 edition of the London Biennial is a very prestigious event attended by some of the best international professionals who have grappled with the reinterpretation of the theme Utopia, in homage to the book by Thomas Moore, published 500 years ago.
