The exhibition will take place at the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens. The director of the Institute, Monica Zecca, will speak at the preview of the exhibition. The artist will present a body of recent works about the fantastical/naturalistic aspect of mandrakes, herbaria and bestiary and wild winged animals – dedicated to the myth of Icarus –entering in dialogue with transmutative “counterpoint” created by ink splatters on aluminium mirror treated plates. The artist’s material, “Indian ink and pen” consists of original ancient letters that date from 1800 to 1833 c., that re-present an ideal distinctive, meta-historic and extremely interesting dialogue. In addition to the exhibition, Zattini will exhibit drawings and unpublished papers alongside literary work of Greek poets at Technohoros Art Gallery in Athens. (Red)
