(6 October, 2016) Composer of symphonic, sacred, chamber music and operas as well as electronic and pieces for theatre, film soundtracks, television and ballet. Luciano Bellini is a composer, pianist and orchestra director with many years of experience behind him. He has collected many recognitions in Italy and abroad (his work has been performed in almost every Western country, South America and Asia and have also been recorded by several national broadcasting stations and networks). He is the guest of honour at the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco which has organised “Italian Recital” on October 13 at 18:30 in collaboration with the Leonardo Da Vinci Society. Bellini will perform pieces from Italian composers such as Scarlatti, Verdi, Leoncavallo, Bellini, Berio, Busoni, Casella as well Alban Berg’s only piano piece. The conductor of the Nova Philarmonia of Rome, has performed nearly 150 world premieres. In Italy his work has also been performed at the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia, la Sala Sinopoli del Parco della Musica di Roma, Il Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Il Petruzzelli di Bari, Il Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto, Il Teatro Rossini di Pesaro, La Sala Verdi di Milano, L’Auditorium of RAI in Rome and many others.
