(October 24, 2016) Andrea Bocelli goes back to enchant Brazil, where he returned four years after his last tour. The tenor triumphed with “Cinema World Tour” for two consecutive evenings in Sao Paulo, at the Allianz Parque Stadium, and later at the Estadio Atletico Paranaense in Curitiba. Great splendour have also accompanied the special concert that our beloved artist held in front of the Catholic Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida, the largest in Brazil and the second largest in the world (after only San Pietro). Bocelli has performed a religious repertoire in front of over a hundred thousand people who came into the square next to the shrine. During the Brazilian tour was also scheduled a benefit concert for the non-profit association Santa Marcelina & Graac, at the Sala Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo. In Brazil Bocelli also wanted to visit the prison Adriano Marrey Guarulhos, 25 km from the center of Sao Paulo, to learn about the cultural project carried out by the penitentiary. There the choir made up of detainees performed for the tenor that then joined them in singing “Con te partirò”. For its humanitarian efforts supported by his foundation, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, the artist will be awarded tomorrow in Milan during the third edition of the International Prize Mother Teresa of Calcutta “Hymn to Life.” (Red)
