(28 October, 2016) Students of the University of “Tor Vergata” in Rome, who strive to become economists in national and international institutions, consulting firms or continue their studies with a research PhD, have a new opportunity starting from the 2016/2017 academic year. It is a joint degree programme whose first year is in Rome and the second year is in Sweden thanks to recently ratified agreement between the Economics and Finance Department of “Tor Vergata” and the School of Business, Economics and Law of Gothenburg, Sweden. Students on this course will receive an international “dual degree”. Students admitted to the exchange programme will have the opportunity to spend the first year in their home university and the second year at the host university. The agreement between the University of Gothenburg is one of the 500 bilateral, cultural and scientific cooperation agreements initiated by the “Tor Vergata” University of Rome. Tor Vergata is strongly committed to promoting its courses of study and research abroad. Among its 108 courses, 16 of these are “international” and the majority of the 31 PhD programmes in English, offer a joint title with a foreign institution. In the last two years, there have been 2,000 scientific collaborations with international institutions and 8,000 publications co-authored by researchers from all around the world (SciVal – Elsevier Scopus). Furthermore, there is an increase in the percentage of foreign students, ranging from 120 different nations. (red)
