(8 November, 2016) The letters of the alphabet are the building blocks of the world. 38 poetic miniatures from “A” for Apple to “Z” for zoo, Andrea Bajani investigates the significance and the ability words have to instill meaning, trying to bring order to our chaotic lives. Le lettere dell’alfabeto sono le pietre che costruiscono il mondo. The encounter with Bajani, also the author of “La vita non è in ordine alfabetico” (Life is not in alphabetical order) (Einaudi), is on November 17 at the Italian Cultural Institute of Munich at 19:00 which was also responsible for the organisation of the event in collaboration with the publishing house, DTV. “Laugh, smile, cry, comfort, love and confront one another. Tell each other when we are happy and to hide when we are not, to swallow a hurtful world, keeping one to ourselves as if it were a precious and fragile thing. We only have 21 letters to do all this” according to Bajani. (Red)
