Moscow – USA-Putin fight and trade war triggered by sanctions has brought down exports of Italian products in Russia to a minimum of at least a decade with an estimated loss of 7.5 billion in two years, also caused by total embargo against imported agri-food products. It was reported by Coldiretti, they commenting positively the announcement of the visit of the US president, Donald Trump in Russia. The agri-food – Coldiretti reported – is the only sector to be hit directly by a total Russian embargo in retaliation for European sanctions by decree n. 778 of August 7, 2014 which closed completely Russian borders to a list of products, fruits and vegetables, cheese, meat and sausages, but also fish, coming from the EU, US, Canada, Norway and Australia with subsequent extension.
