July 8 – Russian journalists are about to discover the best of Made in Italy and more specifically of Made in Marche. Six authors for prestigious Russian magazines in the fashion and furniture industry will arrive in the Italian region for a closer look at the production of luxury goods made in Marche. The “mission” is part of the Interregional Project “Lusso in Russia”, which involved the Marche Region, Calabria, Lazio, Piedmont and Umbria. The project will take place over the course of two years with a number of initiatives in Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg and Sochi. For this particular project, 7 Marche firms and 2 consortia (representing 26 companies in the footwear sector and 33 companies in the fashion and furniture industry) have joined, while Calabria participates with 4 companies, Lazio with 12, Piedmont with 7, and Umbria with 11. The purpose of the project is to introduce Russian consumers to the excellence of Made in Italy outside the schemes of larger international brands: craftsmanship, attention to detail, innovation, quality materials, durability and performance are just some of the key characteristics.
