(November 28, 2016) Enrico Zanisi? This name is not new, inside and outside national borders. In May 2015, the pianist has concluded an international tour that saw him performing in India, South America, Norway, Mexico and Brazil. Abroad, among other things, he also played at Dublin’s 12 Points Festival, the Tabarka Jazz Festival in Tunisia, the Tanjazz Tangier and at the Italian Institutes of Culture in Strasbourg and London and piano solo at the Edinburgh Festival. On November 27, started from the Jazz Festival in Calcutta his new Indian tour in piano solo, for the album Piano Tales presentation. The tour continues on November 28 at the India International Centre in Delhi, on November 30 and December 2 at the Conservatory in Chennai and December 4 at the Pone Music Society of Pone. Already on tour in 2015, Zanisi is back again in India to present his latest album, released in February for Cam Jazz, which ideally has inaugurated a new phase in the career of this young pianist. After three albums in trio and several side projects, Piano Tales arrives to seal a path where the Roman pianist has explored the boundaries of their music while keeping intact the grace devoid of artifice that characterizes it. The album reveals a new Zanisi, more mature but above all more aware of his potential of author and interpreter. FOTO: SERENA VITTORINI (Red)
