Tirana. A humanitarian mission was held in Tirana by Umbria and Tuscany for health, agriculture and university education between the Umbria Region and the Albanian Government in the context of technical and scientific cooperation in favour haemophiliacs and other inherited blood disorders (MEC) residing in Albania. The visit is part of the collaboration programme between the National Blood Centre (CNS) and the World Federation of Haemophilia, to implement the “WISH” project aimed at making concentrates of coagulation factors from plasma collected from Italian donors (2,6750 Umbria), in excess of the national demand, available to countries that would not otherwise have adequate treatment options.
