Beirut. Recently, an important stage of the cooperation project aimed at Syrian refugees in Lebanon of UISP and Terre des Hommes concluded with the inauguration of the Jdeideh Fekehe sports field, a village 9 km from the border with Syria. Thanks to funds raised from the 2016 Vivicittà the coverage of the soccer field was renewed. The field can also be used to play basketball, volleyball and rugby. The bleechers and lighting were also restored. During the inauguration, there were performances and sporting activities that have included hundreds of Lebanese and Syrian children, who have sought refuge with their families. The field, owned by the Catholic church in Jdeideh Fekehe, is adjacent to a busy scout centre. (9Colonne)
