Pretoria – The secretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies Lia Quartapelle intervened in Genoa at the seminar “Africa: Challenges and Prospects”, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Political Sciences of the university of Genoa, to illustrate the guidelines of ‘African Act: the set of the Italian Parliament rules to foster the development of the African continent through training, climate and businesses measures. As for businesses, in particular, it is expected to strengthen the guarantees provided by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and the enlargement of the possibilities of access to the revolving fund. Five priority countries identified for Italian companies: Ethiopia, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Nigeria. “Italy – said Quartapelle – can become a cornerstone for strengthening the relations between the European Union and Africa, the continent where in 2050 a quarter of the world’s population will live and where it plays a part of our future.” ( 9Colonne)
