Paris – The intimate fashion, corsetry and hosiery sector has evolved over the years, following the demand and market dynamics, reaching in 2016 a record value of exports to France amounting to 275 million euros in the January-September 2016 period, and an increase of 4.2% over the same period last year, establishing itself as first market. The main products exported to France – socks, knitted socks and T-shirts and tank tops knit – make up about 88% of total Italian exports in the sector, for a total of about 179 million euro. In this scenario the 54th edition of SIL will be inaugurated today in Paris, the main annual fair dedicated to the lingerie industry where ICE Agency is present with 32 companies, the most important intimate manufacturers of the Italian scene, promoting 51 brands. To better support the fair commercial presence of the Italian producers, ICE and the Italian Lingerie Consortium have joined forces coming together in one pavillion. (9colonne)
