Beirut – For any refugee child, education is an essential commodity to survive and build a decent future. A principle very dear to the Milan Foundation, the Public Charity tied to the Rossoneri colors and a major donor of UN Agency for Refugees (UNHCR). Thanks to the Milan Foundation, 90 Syrian children refugees in Lebanon had the chance to return to school. In particular, the contribution of Milan Foundation has allowed these children to attend the second round school, a program carried out by the Lebanese Ministry of Education in collaboration with UNHCR, devised to respond to an increase in the number of Syrian refugees and the consequent saturation of the Lebanese school system. One country, Lebanon, which welcomes more than one million Syrian refugees, compared with a total population of 4 million people. Initially included in the regular morning shift, from 2013, because of their massive increase, Syrian children have been included in the second afternoon shift created by the Ministry of Education with the support of UNHCR. And in this context operates the support provided by the Milan Foundation. (9colonne)
