Algiers – Vittoria Shipyard, a leading Italian builder of military and commercial vessels, launches its challenge to the international market of tugs, getting orders for Russian and Algerian governments for a total value of 15 million euro. For Russia, in particular, internationally recognized for the severity of its regulations and the high standards of quality and safety, Vittoria Shipyard will build one of the means that will be used in the operations provided for the dismantling of nuclear submarines struck by the Russian Navy . In Algeria, however, the company from Adria is committed to Skikda port authority for the construction of a port and coastal tug. Even this order, worth a total of over 7 million euro, is the result of an international contest called by the Ministry of Transportation of Algeria which was attended by fewer than 14 shipyards coming from Italy, Spain, Turkey, France, India, China and Holland.
