Skopje. Within the 2017 Promotion Activity, the ‘Industrial Technology Energy and Environment’ Office and the Communications Department of ICE Agency of Skopje have organised the “Italian Stone Experience in Macedonia” with ‘Confindustria Marmomacchine’. The initiative aims to be an opportunity for local professionals in the field to explore and to promote technological capabilities and specialisations of companies in the Italian marble and stone industry. The programme takes place in Skopje and Prilep today and tomorrow. Macedonia is rich in natural stone reserves and boasts a long tradition in the mineral and extraction sector as demonstrated by the presence of important resources of copper, nickel, carbon, onyx, and granite and approximately 20 specialised companies that are mainly concentrated around Prilep in the South of Macedonia.
