Stockholm – Cappella Artemisia is a wholly feminine group of singers and musicians directed by Candace Smith. Specialized in conventual music from the 16th and 17th centuries, the Ensemble interprets compositions of nuns who lived in that period as Magdalena Casulana, Vittoria Aleotti, Caterina Assandra, Lucrezia Orsina Vizzana, Alba Tressina, Claudia Sessa etc. The Ensamble will perform on June 5 in Stockholm during the Stockholm Early Music Festival supported by the Italian Cultural Institute. The show is scheduled at the German Church in Stockholm. The performance will be recorded by the Swedish radio. On the same day, from 5 to 7 pm, at the storkyrkosalen, Candace Smith will take part in the “AnonymA – Early Music Girl Power!”. (9Colonne)
