Casablanca – It will be the dance show “Sheherazade … The Thousand and One Night” of the Milan Ballet, this evening’s protagonist at the Fituc, the International Theater Festival of Casablanca, which came to the 29th edition. The ballet in two acts of music by Aram Khachaturian and Rimsky Korsakov, as announced by the Italian Cultural Institute in Rabat, will be embellished by the choreography of Federico Mella and Alessandro Torrielli. Literally, “Shaharazad” means “daughter of the city” and it is precisely this belonging to a community that the two choreographers have extraordinarily chosen to stage: the protagonists of the first act are in fact the streets and markets of the medina, animated by its inhabitants who convey its scents and colors, and on which a sad fate comes down.
