Adelaide. Meetings of the Italian Language Advisory Group, established last year under the MoU signed by Italy and South Australia to strengthen Italian language teaching on site, continue. According to the website of the Italian Consulate in Adelaide, the group’s main objectives are: identifying challenges and exploring joint initiatives in order to increase the involvement of students and their progression in language learning; to collaborate with other departments of the South Australian Government, representatives of the Italian community, Italian institutions and the Third Sector on the promotion of Italian language and culture. These goals will have to be included in the context of the new foreign teaching strategies that the Ministry of Education and Child Development is finalising in the upcoming months. (9Colonne)
