Cagliari – A young Italian woman, victim of a major road accident in Spain in mid-July, was repatriated with a humanitarian flight. Immediately transported to Cagliari’s Armando Businco Hospital, she is now in intensive care. So stated the Italian foreign ministry in a note. The young woman, in Formentera for seasonal work, had reported serious injuries and multiple fractures as a result of an accident with a scooter. She had received the first urgent care at Spanish medical facilities in Ibiza. The foreign ministry – says the note – with the Consulate General in Barcelona and with the Honorary Consul in Ibiza, has followed the story from the very first moments playing a decisive role in excellent teamwork. The operation was made possible thanks to the effective coordination between the Prime Minister Office, the Foreign ministry, the Prefecture, the Hospital Presidium of Cagliari, the emergency units and the Military Air Force.
