Hamburg. President of Assomusica, Vincenzo Spera, visited Hamburg once again for the 2017 Reeperbahn Festival. It is a special opportunity to meet and connect with old and new partners on future possible collaborations. “Reeperbahn Festival” has become, over the years, an important event for representatives of Assomusica, offering important opportunities to learn about the establishment of a European organisation that is able to safeguard the interests of a very important sector for the chain, but which is all too often damaged by different political orientations at the international level. The European Commission organised a workshop to relaunch the activities of “Music Moves Europe” simultaenouly to the Festival. This initiative sees the circulation of music throughout Europe. “It has participated in discussion and development of the project with the members of the European Assomusica Community for approximately 2 years. ‘Music Moves Europe’ is a necessary step to reach the approval for a law dedicated to the safeguarding of music by 2020, which Europe is still lacking and for which is fundamentally important for the benefits its can bring to the sector, as we have seen in cinema and in the audio-visual sectors” according to Spera.
