Brussels – Italian Senator Mara Valdinosi (PD) will attend today the European Hight-conference conference on Tourism – to be held in the European Parliament. The Parliamentary will represent the Senate of the Republic together with the chairman of the Industry, Trade and Tourism Commission Massimo Mucchetti and Vice President Paola Pelino. “This important summit – says Valdinosi – will work on a European strategy that will emphasize the competitiveness of tourism, a key sector for economic development and job creation. The tourism industry is strategic for Italy and Europe. We think that, at EU level, the sub-fund already stands at 10% of GDP and work creation today. But when we talk about tourism development we must always be clear how the growth of the industry is reflected in other segments of the economy, such as agriculture, food and wine, transport, culture, creative activities … Tourism is crucial to the economy and is capable to make synergies”.(9colonne)
