Tokyo – Tomorrow evening at the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo will be staged “Treasures of Belcanto”, the concert by maestro Mauro Augustini who will be accompanied for the occasion by soprano Cecilia Rie Matsushima. The masterpieces of Cilea, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Giordano and Mozart are on the setlist. Augustini, who performed for the first time in Tokyo in 1987, has performed in the most prestigious theaters: the Arena of Verona, the Sferisterio of Macerata and, outside Italy, the Theater Bonn Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, Tokyo Bunkakaikan and more.
