Rome – The exhibition “IILA, an Italian-Latin American dream”, recently closed in Rome where it was exhibited at the Sala della Lupa at Palazzo Montecitorio. The exhibition – which tells IILA’s story through largely unpublished documents and photographs – is the result of great archive and document retrieval effort, and is included in the 50th anniversary celebration programme of the founding of the Italian-Latin American International Organisation. The exhibition in Rome was inaugurated on October 3rd, in Santiago de Chile, following Guatemala City (August), and at the UN Glass Palace in New York (September 20-25). The show will continue its tour in Latin America in the coming months. The Santiago portion was exhibited at the Italian Institute of Culture by the Italian Embassy. The inauguration was attended by the Chilean Foreign Minister Edgardo Riveros; Italian Ambassador, Marco Ricci; the Latin America Director of MAECI, Antonella Cavallari; and a large audience of Latin American Ambassadors to Chile, with special guests, and the more than one hundred participants from the 3rd Italian-Latin American Forum organised by IILA, from 16 Latin American countries, including many government officials.
