Mexico City. “The news from Mexico City where a Lucanian athlete , Donato Telesca, became the ‘Juniores’ world champion of Paralympic weightlifting fills Basilicata with pride” stated by the Regional Councillor for Sports, Roberto Cifarelli. “This is a result that rewards the effort, commitment, and sacrifice that the young talent athleted from Lucania was able to demonstrate for his love of sports and life. Climbing on the roof of the world during these special Olympics also means sending a positive message to the disabled and to all Lucanians: athletic activity knows no limits or differences and each of us, regardless of our physical condition, can achieve great goals in life”.
