(25 April 2018) “Italy is promoting a wide tourist offer that includes new itineraries linked to the variety that Italy offers including its regional and provincial wine and food in the context of this year being dedicated to Italian food and wine, artisanry, and local manufacturing that reflect quality and excellence from which our Made in Italy originates”. With these words the Italian Ambassador to Argentina, Giuseppe Manzo commented on the meeting he hosted in the Embassy Residence between the Argentinian Tourism Minister, Gustavo Santos and the President of the Calabria Region, Gerardo Mario Oliverio. Their encounter followed Minister Santos’ visit to the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange of Naples at the end of March and to the institutional participation of the Campania, Calabria, Marche regions, and of the Italian tour operators at the Buenos Aires Tourism Fair in November 2017. At the centre of the discussion was the promotion of bilateral trade flows in the context of an integrated tourism offer that sees the territories of the two countries as protagonists. (9Colonne)
