Mogadishu. The Commander of the Italian National Support Element (IT-NSE) of the EUTM Mission Somalia met with the Vice Governor of the Banadir region and his staff (City of Mogadishu). The meeting, which took place in the office of the Mayor of Mogadishu and the Governor of Banadir, was strongly requested to show willingness on the part of the Italian military of the EUTM mission to support the local administration. The initiative also had the purpose of presenting past and future CIMIC activities on behalf of the Italian contingent in Somalia. During the encounter, the outcomes of the 21 projects carried out to support the local population were discussed. These mainly involving the sectors of the health, safety, emergency services, and humanitarian support to minorities over the course of 2017-2018. (9Colonne)
