Tirana. The Italian government has awarded a € 5 million in aid credit for vocational education and training in Albania. The Financing Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti was ratified by the Albanian Parliament on July 23rd. In line with the National Strategy for Employment and Professional Training 2014-2020 and the IPA II programming (2014-2020), the Italian initiative to support vocational training envisages the establishment of a Multifunctional Training Centre at the “Rakip Kryeziu” Institute of Fier and the upgrading of the Lushnje Agricultural Mechanics Institute, with particular attention to the need to favour respective students’ entry into the workforce.
