Athens. The Italian Embassy in Athens welcomes the autumn with the new seasonal programme, the Billboard covering the period September-December of “Tempo Forte Italia Grecia 2018″. Following the success of the Summer Billboard – which included the Oedipus at Colono in the ancient theatre of Epidaurus and the tributes to the Italian Cinema and the Rossinian Opera – the Embassy continues to work in close harmony with the most organisations representative of the artistic sector both in Greece and Italy to present new and numerous cultural proposals. Until the end of October, the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens will feature the exhibition entitled L’incisione come commento sociale” (Engraving as social commentary) in collaboration with PrintFest 2018, the Engraving Centre of Athens “Pandolfini & Siaterli” and the Museo Civico delle Cappuccine of Bagnacavallo. The events of the Institute of Culture continue with film and artistic festivals throughout the rest of Greece but also with tributes to Italian academics and poets, such as to Mario Vitti, one of the most important neo-hellenists internationally, and to the poet Giacomo Leopardi.
