(Apr. 3) – It closed yesterday evening the 15th edition of the Annual Public Forum, organized by the Harris Center for Education and Advocacy in Eating Disorders and presented by the Massachusetts General Hospital, along with Harvard Medical School. The meeting, held at the Memorial Church of Harvard University, was an opportunity to debate on issues related to eating disorders. Franca Sozzani participated in the event, proving her strong commitment to fight anorexia and promote a ‘curvy’ women’s image. She has emphasized that “the thinness has been an undisputed aesthetic canon for years, and while the fashion industry has certainly had its share of responsibility, we must not forget that pharmaceutical and cosmetics have contributed to promote unbalanced diets, miracle creams and dangerous pills. And in addition, obesity is increasingly emerging as a social evil.” Together with Franca Sozzani, Arianna Huffington, president and Huffington Post, model Doutzen Kroes and David B. Herzog, professor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and international expert in eating disorders, and director Harris Center at Massachusetts General Hospital participate in the event.
