(Apr. 24) – Italian creativity and professionalism awarded in the United States. Rotoprint Overprint, a company from Lainate has received an honorable mention from the PLGA Global during the ceremony of the 2011 Print Quality Awards, held in Miami, Florida. The Italian company, which uses a patented registry gravure overprint, was considered among the most interesting in the Innovation category. “We are very happy about this award,” said Gian Carlo Arici, Rotoprint owner. “The jury was really impressed. It was recognized the unique nature of the procedure we developed, a system that allows you to change packaging already printed with pinpoint precision.” The method developed by Rotoprint allows companies, who have packaging no longer used (because of errors, updates on their labels, etc.), to overprint them with a perfect result. “Thanks to us – said Arici – companies save on inventory costs, disposal and production of new material. And all this also has a positive impact on the environment.” In 2011 Rotoprint saved from pulping more than 18 thousand km of materials. (Red/Peg)
