(Apr. 24) – In Veneto there are world-leading industries in the areas of pollution control, recycling, recovery of secondary raw materials and waste-to-energy technology, which can give answers to Chinese environmental economy. This is the goal of the agreement between Confindustria and Veneto Promozione with Jiangsu Province (approximately 80 million people, Nanjing is the capital), one of the greatest industrial areas of China and for that between the most problematic from an environmental perspective. In 1998 the province of Jiangsu had already formalized an economic collaboration with Veneto. Today, Veneto has proposed to update that agreement and extend it to the areas which concern environment protection. It was also suggested to organize a trade fair in the Chinese province, with the participation of all interested companies from Veneto. (Red/Peg)
