(Jul. 26) – Italy’s Consiglio Nazionale degli Architetti will be one of the protagonist in the Yeosu Expo 2012, in South Korea, with an exhibition of some of the most significant development projects of Italian waterfronts, in line with the theme of the Expo “The Living Ocean and Coast: Diversity of Resources and Sustainable Activities”. The exhibition – designed and realized by the Dipartimento Europa ed Esteri of the Italian National Council of Architects, as part of the Progetto Internazionalizzazione, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs – shows and proposes solutions for the development of Italian coasts and seas, aiming to preserve the natural balance. Through the efforts and projects of Italian architects, Italy will participate in Yeosu 2012 with the objective to raise awareness about the need to protect the marine ecosystem, threatened not only by natural disasters, climate change and global warming. The exhibition will be presented in the Italy Pavilion on July 30th and 31st, during the week that the international exhibition will dedicate to Italy. (red)
