(9 Aug) – Thirty original works by Domenica Regazzoni in a fascinating exhibition entitled “Dal legno al suono” (From wood to sound). Inaugurated yesterday, and on show until August 19th at the Shangai Italian Center, in the Hall of the Art Museum of Xiangshan Heng Yuanxiang, the exhibition dedicated to the Lombard artist features thirty original works, including mixed technique, wood tables, reworked sculptures , works on paper or canvas, all inspired by the art of violin making and aimed at enhancing the affinities between different art forms, such as painting, sculpture and music. The exhibition is inspired by the work of Domenica’s father, the violin maker Dante Regazzoni, to whom is dedicated “Dal legno al suono”, which arrives in China after touching various Italian cities. The space for the exhibition is particularly attractive because it overlooks the area in which are put on show the bronze copies of Michelangelo’s statues, some of them donated by the Italian Government. The event is organized by the gallery Heng Yuan Xiang. (red)
