(Aug. 27) – After a successful Italian tour, the European tour of Andre Pozza kicked off. The acclaimed jazz pianist and composer from Genoa in the next days will be performing in major festivals and jazz clubs in Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Portugal and Belgium. “I hardly remember a day in my life without piano, even without jazz,” says Andrea Pozza. “I often perform abroad and I like to jam session to meet new musicians. The music is the universal language par excellence and jazz, in particular, seems made to communicate with musicians you’ve never seen before.” “I love and I’m inspired by all kinds of music but my mother tongue is jazz,” continues the Italian pianist. Andrea Pozza is a complete artist as well as a valuable partner for great musicians. Thanks to these qualities he plays both as a sideman and frontman and is one of the most respected jazz pianists in Italy and abroad. The first leg of the summer tour saw Andrea Pozza perform in Bilbao, Spain, on the occasion of “The Noches of the Guggenheim”, with the quartet of Javier Vercher, among the most popular saxophonists of the Spanish scene. The tour will continue in London: Andrea Pozza will perform tomorrow, as special guest, with the English saxophonist Christian Brewe at the Lower Ground, the on August 30 he will be at the Map Studio Cafe. For September 4 it’s scheduled a double show: from 19:30 at the 606 Club and starting from 23.30 at the Ronnie Scott’s Late September. After London Pozza will stop in Germany, Portugal and Switzerland. (Red)
