(Sept. 28) – Two years after the success of “Imprevedibile”, album also recorded in Spanish and still well-doing around the world, Paolo Meneguzzi returns with his new single “Fragile”, in rotation on radios since last Friday and extract from his forthcoming new CD. What has Meneguzzi done in the last two years? “I’ve been thinking a lot. Maybe I’ve become a bit lazy. I haven’t traveled much: it was a period of meditation, I’ll say sabbatical. The good news however is that I wrote a lot.” Meneguzzi, born in 1976, real name Pablo Meneguzzo, grew up in the Canton Ticino, Milan and Varese. During his career he has sold over 2 and a half million records worldwide and performed more than 500 concerts. Today, he speaks about the past two years as a necessary period to engage in new projects: “Beside the music, there are important dreams, such as the love.” “It’s been 15 intense years,” he continues. “I didn’t stop for a moment. But I need new incitements and the right emotions.” And those emotions then arrived: “Fragile” reveals in fact a new Meneguzzi, more mature and concrete, both in the lyrics and the music. An adult artist, whose musical and personal growth continues hand in hand. Having already conquered the younger audience, with his new album Meneguzzi opens up to a wider and varied audience, and in any case – as he explains – “to all those who are willing to listen with an open mind, without prejudice”. In “Fragile”, Meneguzzi sings love in a new way, digging deep and with a more conscious approach: the song talks about the fragility of the human being with all its limitations and facets, but also the strength and energy that encourage people to move forward. And so, ranging from rap to melody, “Fragile” is about to become another international production. Raised in a family of artists, the only son of two Italian immigrants, Gomez Meneguzzo and Loredana Pacchiani, Paolo promises to be back on stage very soon without forgetting his family “I’ll be closer to my father.” And if one day he will decide to quit from the music world, he assures that he will be surrounded by beautiful and cheerful people and will try a new experience: “I will open a restaurant, a bar or perhaps a club.” (Gil/Peg)
