Mar. 7 – Carraro Drive Tech, a subsidiary of Carraro Group (leader in transmission systems for off-highway applications) has just signed a new major deal: a five-year contract with Agco, one of the largest manufacturers in the world for agricultural machinery. The agreement concerns the supply of transmission systems for the new range of tractors that will be produced in the Changzhou factory (China) . More specifically, this €25 million contract includes the provision of different types of front axles, integrated with a mono-reduction box, intended for BX200 series Massey Ferguson tractors with engines 80-120 hp. These tractors are designed for both the Chinese market and for exports to the United States, the Far East and Africa. These vehicles represent only a first phase of the Agco expansion plan in China, which will begin production of tractors, balers and other components in the plants of Changzhou, Yanzhou, Shanghai and Daqing. This is possible thanks to growing market demand for medium-sized tractors, partly due to the incentive policies of the Chinese government.
