Mar. 11 – Denmark opens its borders to the traceability of extra virgin olive oil of Unaprol. The traceability program covers 600 sectors and over 7000 farms and it will be presented tomorrow for the press conference “Seasons of life: treat yourself to an extra.” This is the EU campaign slogan of the EU, and signals that the event is part of the European program to promote the responsible consumption of extra virgin olive oil, under EC Regulation 501 / 08 (co-financed by the European Union, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and Unaprol). The event is timely and was also strongly requested by the Danish press, after the food contamination cases of recent months.
Unaprol’s traceability program is taking a leading role on the European and world markets to differentiate extra virgin olive oils, guarantee to the consumer the origin of the product, follow transparency and increase controls in light of European legislation on ‘compulsory indication on the label of the origin of the olives.
